  • This section includes a complete list of every source you
    cited in your paper.


  • Begin this section on a new page and center the title Works
    Cited
    .


  • Double space after the title and begin your first entry.


  • The first line of each entry should be flush left with the left
    margin. Subsequent lines of each entry should be indented
    1/2 inch (hanging indent).

               Keaton, Eleanor. A Walk in the Park. New York: Columbia

              University, 1980.

  • Double space all entries and between entries.


  • Alphabetize the list of works cited by the first word in each
    entry.


  • If you cited more than one work by the same author, order
    them alphabetically by title, and use three hyphens in place
    of the author's name for each entry after the first.

               Walters, Thomas. The Night of the Invasion. Chicago:

                    Univ. of Chicago, 1988.

               - - -. The Effect of War on Civilizations. New York:

                    Norton, 1960.

  • If an author appears as both the sole author of a text
    and the first author in a group, list the solo author entry first.
