Tables & Illustrations

     

  • Place tables and illustrations within the body of the paper,
    as close as possible to where they are referred to in the
    text.
  • For a table, label it as Table, followed by a number (1,2,3),
    and a caption. See example below.
  • For any other visuals (photographs, maps, graphs, charts,
    etc.), label them as Fig., followed by a number (1,2,3), and
    a title or caption. See example below.
  • For musical illustrations, label them as Example (Ex.)
    followed by a number (1,2,3), and caption.

Respondents were asked to identify any other environmental education

opportunities apart from those already identified within the survey offered

through their elementary education program. Two-fifths (41%) said that

they do have other (voluntary) opportunities. The majority of these

opportunities are likely elective andnot required for completion of their

teacher preparation programs (Table 1).

General Illustration Example:

  • Give the illustration a label or title and place it
    directly below the illustration.

The majority of elementary education program in Pennsylvania teach

some environmental education methods. Half (50%) of the surveyed

institution stated that they provide all six of the EE pedagogical methods

(Figure 2).
