General Requirements:


  • Use white 8 1/2 X 11 inch paper.
  • Use 1-inch margins on all sides.
  • Use a standard, easy-to-read font and font size
    (e.g. Times Roman and 12-point).
  • Do not justify the right margin.
  • Do not hyphenate words at the end of a line of text.
  • Include a running head, your last name and page number,
    on each page of your paper. Place it in the upper right
    hand corner of your paper so that it is 1/2" from the top of
    the paper and flush with the right margin. The header
    feature in your word processing program places the
    running head automatically.
  • Indent the first word of each paragraph 1/2 inch or 5
    spaces.
  • Double-space throughout the paper (including quotations,
    notes, and works cited).

 

EXAMPLE:

 

 

Beginning of the Paper:


  • Do not include a separate title page (unless requested by
    your instructor).
  • On the first page of your paper:
  • Include a running head un the upper right hand corner.
  • Type your full name 1-inch from the top of the page
    and flush with the left margin, instructor's name,
    course number, and date - each on separate lines,
    double-spacing between lines.
  • Double-space after the date and center the title.
    Follow the rules for capitalization on page seven.
  • Double-space again and begin the first line of your
    paper, indenting the first paragraph 5 spaces.

 

Pre-service Teachers' Attitude Toward Self-Efficacy

On Teaching Environmental Education

          The astounding increase in resource consumption over the

past four decades is "stressing our life support systems,"

(Gabriel 1). Environmental experts have reported that we have

approximately 20-40 years to come up with a viable plan to meet

the needs of our expanding population in an environmentally

sustainable manner (Gabriel 3). In order to move society toward

making more environmentally sound decisions, a major shift in

thinking and actions willbe required. Indeed, as Albert Einstein
