Melissa Manny joined the Office of Inclusive Engagement in July 2015 as Director of Global Engagement at Alvernia University. She is responsible for study abroad, international admissions, teaching First Year Seminar, and assisting the university in hosting visitors from all over the world.
Prior to starting in this new role for the university, she served as an Assistant Director of Admissions for almost 2 years. She completed her B.A. in Spanish Education at La Roche College in Pittsburgh, PA. During her time at La Roche, she participated in a study abroad program to Salamanca, Spain.
While completing her M.A. in Student Affairs in Higher Education degree at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, she earned a full-assistantship from their Office of International Education.
Melissa grew up in Latrobe, PA and is now married. In her free time she likes to read, spend time with friends, and travel internationally. Melissa and her husband have a dog named Stirling.
