To apply for admission to an Alvernia College Graduate Program, download an application or apply online. A $50 non-refundable application fee should be submitted along with your supporting documentation.

Requirements
Quality of Previous Undergraduate and Graduate Work
The minimum requirements necessary for admission to Alvernia's Graduate
Programs include an official transcript that
showing an appropriate baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university.
The Pennsylvania Department of Education requires that applicants seeking teaching certification have a cumulative grade point average of at least a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for all previous undergraduate and graduate coursework.
Letters of Recommendation
Each applicant must submit three letters of recommendation. Letters
from current or former professors, from employers or supervisors familiar with your professional experiences, or from religious or community leaders must be forwarded directly to the College. Alvernia does not have a specific form or format for the letters of recommendation; however, letters should be an assessment of character and ability based on the reference's relationship with you. Principal certification applicants are required to submit completed evaluation forms from their current Superintendent and Principal.
Scores from a Nationally Standardized Graduate Entrance Examination
Applicants must submit scores from examinations such as the Graduate
Record Examinations (GRE), Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT),
the Miller Analogies Test (MAT), or the Praxis Series (or National Teachers
Examination) depending upon the Graduate Program of interest. Scores
will be used to assess previous educational achievement levels and to
evaluate potential for meeting the demands of graduate level coursework.
This requirement will be waived for Alvernia baccalaureate degree alumni,
students who have earned a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution
more than five years prior to submitting a graduate program application,
and applicants who currently possess an accredited master's degree. Applicants
to the MSOT program are not required to submit scores

Applicant's Statement of Academic and Career Objectives
Please submit a one page statement that summarizes the value of the graduate study program for your personal and professional growth and development. Educational and professional experiences serving as the foundation for graduate study should be described.
Optional - Additional Evidence of Potential for Success as a Graduate Student
Academic or professional awards, special certifications, samples of scholarly or creative work, completion of specialized examinations, and personal interviews will also be reviewed as evidence of potential.

Recquirements for MACC:Master of Art in Community Counseling
1. Resume
Applicants to the MACC program are required to submit a current resume
outlining their professional, educational, and volunteer experiences.
2. Scores from Miller Analogy Test (MAT) or Graduate Record Examination (GRE)
Applicants to the MACC program are required to submit valid scores from the MAT or GRE. This entrance requirement will only be waived for individuals already possessing an accredited master's degree.
