Financial Aid:
Stafford Loans
Stafford Loans are federal loans available to the graduate student who are enrolled on at least a half-time basis (6 credits per semester). The student is eligible to borrow up to the cost of education per year and the exact amount depends upon enrollment status. Students applying for a Stafford Loan must file the Master Promissory Note (MPN) and stafford loan entrance counseling. These forms can be completed at www.selectyourlender.com/alvernia. If you would like a paper MPN and have not received one, call the Office of Student Financial Planning at 610.796.8356.
Private Alternative Loans
Private Alternative Loans are available to students who are enrolled for only one class per semester. These loans may require a co-signer and applicants must be credit worthy. Applications are available in the financial aid office or you can apply online.

Alvernia College Alumni Discount
Alvernia College Alumni Discount is available to Bachelor degree graduates of Alvernia College at 25% off tuition. Please contact Gradaute Center for information.
Tuition Reimbursement
If you receive Tuition Reimbursement from your employer, you must complete a tuition reimbursement form and submit it to the Office of Student Financial Planning each semester that you are enrolled in.
If you are an employee of a non-profit organization or a school district, please contact your human resource director to inquire about the Non-profit Education Partnership with Alvernia.
