Campus Commons Offers Enhanced Student Living Space

Img: Campus CommonsWhile our students have been enjoying some much deserved time away from the classroom this summer, construction crews have been working tirelessly to complete the two latest additions to Founders Village residence halls and begin construction on the new Campus Commons.

The Campus Commons will be home to a two-story fitness center, dance and aerobics studio, and campus living room that will accommodate more than 100 students for leisure activities, study and programming. It will also bring student services, student leadership, campus ministry and student activities under one roof, creating an important nexus for students traveling from the residential village to the Physical Education Center, academic buildings, the library and the dining hall. This building has emerged as an important addition to our campus for both those students who are choosing to live on campus and as a gathering place for our commuting students.

Plans call for the Commons to open by January 2013 and several naming opportunities remain for interested donors. For more information on how you can support the Campus Commons, contact Thomas Minick ’98, Director of Development, at 610-790-2862 or
