Stafford Loans are federal loans available to
the graduate student who are enrolled on at least a half-time basis
(6 credits per semester). The student is eligible to borrow up
to the cost of education per year and the exact amount depends
upon enrollment status. Students applying for a Stafford Loan must
file the Master Promissory Note (MPN) and stafford loan entrance
counseling. These forms can be completed at www.selectyourlender.com/alvernia.
If you would like a paper MPN and have not received one, call the Office of Student Financial Planning at 610.796.8356.
Private Alternative Loans are available to students who
are enrolled for only one class per semester. These loans may require
a co-signer and applicants must be credit worthy. Applications are
available in the financial aid office or you can apply
online.
