We're glad that you are interested in working on
campus. There are many job opportunities available, so please take
a moment to review the list of departments that have job openings.
In order to simplify the process, we have amended the paperwork.
Please complete the following steps in order to begin working on
campus:
1. Refer to your Financial Aid Award
letter to determine if you are eligible for Federal
Work Study.
2. Check
the Alvernia College Website to find a job on campus www.alvernia.edu.
3. Pick up a Work Study Information Packet in
the Financial Aid Office, Payroll office, and Student Billing.
4. Complete the student portion of the AJC Approval
Form and sign the Rights and Responsibilities
Form (Section #1 on AJC Form).
5. Take the AJC form to the supervisor of where you want to work
and have them complete the supervisor portion
of the form (Section #4 on AJC Form).
6. Take form to the Human Resource Department (located in Francis
Hall) and complete the I-9 and W-4 (if
you are a returning student and have completed this in the past,
you just need to give the blank I-9 and W-4 forms to the Human
Resource Director). Please bring two forms of ID along
to the H.R. Department (drivers license and social security card).
7. Once paperwork has been completed (AJC Approval Form
and Rights and Responsibilites Form) and given to Human
Resources, it will be forwarded to the Financial Aid Department
for processing. See your supervisor for your copy.
Questions regarding this process should be directed
The Office of Student Financial Planning, ext. 8356.
