Resume Brief

Professor Wells earned a bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, Massachusetts and a law degree from Boston University School of Law. Her advanced degree in taxation was also earned at Boston University School of Law. Prior to teaching at Alvernia College, Professor Wells was employed as a corporate and tax law attorney at the law firm of Bulkley, Richardson and Gelinas in Springfield, Massachusetts.

Currently Professor Wells is a member of the International Academy of Legal Studies in Business, the Mid-Atlantic Academy of Legal Studies in Business, the North Atlantic Regional Business Law Association, the Eastern Education Research Association, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and both the National and Northeast Associations of Pre-Law Advisors. Her Publications include Abrogating public empolyees' right to dissent: free speech in the public sector after Garcetti v. Ceballos - 2007 Business Law Review; Purchasing the Right to Pollute: Economic marvel, ethical minefield or both? Published in the August 2007 National Proceedings for Academy of legal Studies in Business conference; and The Growth of Online Buzz Marketing in a Time of an Expanding Commercial Speech Doctrine, co-authored with Robert Sprague J.D., M.B.A., Assistant Professor, University of Wyoming College of Business published in the Spring 2008 Proceedings of the MBAA International Conference.
