Dr. Berret received her BS in Business Administration from Bloomsburg
University and MBA from Philadelphia University. Doctorate in higher education from Widener University, December 2007. After years of working
in Human Resource Management, Dr. Berret began her teaching career at Alvernia
in 1989. She became SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources)
certified in 1999. Certification requires ongoing CEU's in the field.
Dr. Berret participates as a speaker for various organizations as well
as provides consulting services. Memberships include: The Society
for Human Resource Management (national and local membership), Board
Member - Goodwill Industries, International Committee - Berks County
Chamber of Commerce, Personnel Committee - YMCA. Dr. Berret serves
as Chapter Advisor to the Alvernia College Student Chapter of the Society
for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
Publications include co-author of Setting Up Shop in Vietnam published
in Global Workforce. The article was the result of research
conducted while teaching in Vietnam in 1995 and 1996. Ongoing research
includes time management studies.
Dr. Berret is the 1999 recipient of the Saint Bernardine Award for
Excellence in Teaching.
