Supervisor of Housekeeping
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist in Administering any outsourced contracts pertaining to housekeeping
- Assure that the interior of all campus buildings are neat, clean and sanitary
- Manage a variety of areas including:
- floor care maintenance
- walk-off mat placement
- paper, cleaning supplies and their storage areas
- budget for all supplies
- Maintain records of cleaning and chemical solutions, meeting compliance with regulations and safety measures pertaining to OSHA standards
- Maintain records of MSDS sheets on cleaning and chemical solutions
- Provide management and leadership to housekeeping staff
- Provide training on equipment, applications and safety issues
- Responsible for cleaning restrooms, classrooms, offices, common areas, windows, bleachers and other areas as assigned.
- Performing cleaning duties including, but not limited to: mopping, vacuuming and dusting.
- Perform trash disposal duties.
- Perform other duties as requested.
- Promote Franciscan ideals and adherence to the Mission of the University
QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION:
- High school graduate.
- Must have knowledge of general custodial duties.
- Must be able to work in all weather elements.
- Good communication skills.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Able to lift and push up to 50 pounds.
- Experience in supervising people and managing housekeeping tasks.
