Director of Creative Services

Job Summary:
The Director of Creative Services provides direction for the University’s visual and design identity for all mediums (print, digital, web), manages the workflow for all the University’s marketing collateral, including advertising, the University’s magazine, e-newsletters and the website, and ensures high quality design standards.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and implement process for the creation, design, and completion of collateral from to materials are consistent with university brand
  • Work with various departments throughout the campus community to address and meet their creative services needs
  • Track progress of all creative design projects from beginning to end, ensuring deadlines are met
  • Design templates and serve as liaison to print & other vendors for various marketing collateral
  • Act as a liaison with IT for Macintosh and Adobe software issues
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Promote Franciscan ideals and adherence to the Mission of the University


  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Communications or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience solving strategic creative challenges
  • Experience in print, digital and web design; strong knowledge of Creative Suite/Creative Cloud
  • Ability to visualize and articulate design challenges and solutions to university stakeholders
  • Highly creative with a proactive approach to problem solving
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment with high volume of design requests and quick turnaround time
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with a proven record of meeting deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills; a team player with strong work ethic

  • Attendance is required in order to perform the duties of this job
  • Must be able to work from home online if necessary
