• Three Generations of Writers: David Updike on Roots in the Community

  David Updike, son of John Updike, will reflect on the roots that his father and grandmother, both writers, had in the Shillington community. David will read selections from his father's and grandmother's work as well as some of his own. His most recent publication, a book of short stories, called Old Girlfriends is currently available. This lecture is a part of Alvernia's Literary Festival and a part of the Reading Reads Festival during the month of October.
