Kyla Lacey, Slam Poet

Kyla is a poet and writer who hails from sunny central Florida. Her bright disposition shines through her journey of life through triumph and tragedy. She is primarily a poet but infuses comedy into her showcase of her real life situations. She works with children and has volunteered in several poetry camps and poetry clubs for high school students in Orlando. She is a graduate of the University of Central Florida with a degree in History. She speaks French, German, and "Spanglish," and understands full well the necessity of communication and diversity.

She has a CD entitled "A Way with Words" released in December 2010, and second CD "Lady Brings the Blues" released in March 2012. She was Campus Activities Magazine Reader's Choice Awards "2013 Nominee for Best Female Artist."
