Mission - Vision - Purpose
Consistent with the mission of Alvernia College, the vision and purpose
of the Multicultural Affairs Committee is:

To promote understanding, unity and appreciation of the growing diversity of our campus, affirming the inherent value and dignity of each person, regardless of race, gender, national origin or religion. |

To honor racial, ethnic and gender differences with respect and openness to the richness and wisdom of various groups. |
3. |
To prepare Alvernia College students for responsible citizenship in their own nation and in the world community through understanding and appreciation of a multicultural society. |
4. |
To help students recognize how diversity has shaped and continues to form our national identity and experience in the United States. |
5. |
To provide opportunities for students to have significant interaction with indigenous peoples and cultures, and to encourage cultural interaction as a vital component for personal and academic development. |
