ADMISSION PROCEDURE

2. Submit the signature card (you will see the signature card after you Submit this application) with $50 non-refundable application fee made payable to Alvernia College.
3. Submit the following documents to demonstrate your potential as a graduate student:

  • Official transcript for a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university showing a grade point average; (Note: If applying to the Principal Certification Program, official transcript for Masters Degree only, required.)
  • Three letters of recommendation from former professors, from employers or supervisors, or from religious or community leaders; (Note: If applying to the Principal Certification Program, assessment forms from your current Principal and Superintendent are the only recommendations required.)
  • Scores from a nationally standardized examination, such as the Graduate Record Examinations (GRE), Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT), the Millers Analogies Test (MAT), or the Praxis Series (National Teachers Examination);
  • A statement that summarizes the value of the program of graduate study for your personal and professional growth and development, describe educational and professional experiences that will serve as the foundation for you graduate study;
  • Academic or professional awards, special certifications, samples of scholarly or creative work, or completion of specialized examinations.
