Pharmacy Technician Certificate Program

April 25 – June 27, 2006
10 week program
6:00 - 9:00 PM

General Information

The Pharmacy Technician Certificate Program does the following:

  • Prepares you to take the certification exam
  • Provides practical "hands on" training
  • Provides you with information on several major practice settings for pharmacy technicians such as hospital, retail, and long term care and managed care.

Pennsylvania recently passed House Bill 803, which requires a nationally recognized pharmacy technician certification.

The Pharmacy Technician Certificate Program is taught by knowledgeable pharmacists with experience in hospital, retail and long term care pharmacies.

Employment of pharmacy technicians is expected to grow through 2008 due to the increased pharmaceutical needs of a larger and older population, and greater use of medication. (Obtained from the Occupational Outlook Handbook).
