Alvernia College, in conjunction with several institutions, has created articulation agreements which coincide with these new innovative degree programs (transfer students are eligible for these programs).

Alvernia offers several programs designed for students who arrive at the college having completed a substantial portion of their college education before their arrival. The programs allow students to complete their degrees based on a modified set of core requirements and/or major requirements, and, therefore, enable students to complete their degree in a shorter period of time

Mid-Degree Program

The Mid-Degree Program is designed for students transferring at least 70 credits from other institutions or an associate degree from a regionally accredited college into a degree program. Up to 45 of these credits could have been previously earned at Alvernia. (Alvernia students may exercise the Mid-Degree option after an academic absence of one year.)

Plus Two Program

The Plus Two Program is designed for students who have earned an associate degree from a regionally accredited college. Students earning an associate degree at Alvernia are eligible to enter this program after the degree has been awarded. Students must inform the Registrar's Office in writing once accepted into this program.

Degree Completion

The Degree Completion Program is designed for students who have transferred at least 90 credits of applicable college work. Up to 75 credit hours may be accepted from regionally accredited community, junior or other two-year colleges. Up to 60 credits of these could have previously been earned at Alvernia College. Students must inform the Registrar's Office in writing once accepted into this program.
