Full & Half Day Camp Adventures
|
Alvernia University is proud to again offer its Summer Academy
day camp program. The five camps offered through the College's Summer
Academy program are designed to develop critical thinking, team-building,
and creativity in a safe, educational and fun environment. All camps are
held on Alvernia's 40+ acre campus in Reading, Pennsylvania.
The College's Summer Academy program is open to all students
who will
be entering grades five, six, seven and eight for the Fall 2005 school year.
Transportation is not provided for the program, therefore, campers will
need
to provide their own transportation to and from camp each day.
The College understands that many of our camper's parents
are working full-time. Therefore, for a small additional fee, the College
offers the
opportunity for camper's to arrive early (any time between 7:30 a.m. and
9:00 a.m.) or remain late (must be picked up by 5:30 p.m.).
While the content of each camp is quite different, the basic
layout of the
day remains the same to create consistency for the campers.
•9:00 a.m. - Camp Begins
•10:30 a.m. - Snack Break
•12:00 noon - Lunch and Free Time
•1:00 p.m. - Camp
•3:30 p.m. - Camp Ends for the Day
Each camper is asked to provide his or her own lunch. For a small
additional fee, campers can purchase lunch through the College's dining
services.
