Student Teaching

This section is a "must" for inclusion, but you have some flexibility as to how much detail you include. If you have very little related experience (see below) you may wish to give a great deal of detail, as this will be your strongest section. On the other hand, if you have lots of other related experience or work to describe, it may be adequate to simply list grade, school, district, city, state, and semestser you were there.

If you decide to describe the experience, be sure to include those activities that will set you apart from all other student teachers. Special projects or events, tools, curricular approaches, special needs students, interface with parents or other professionals, etc. It is not necessary to include your cooperating teacher's name or the complete mailing address of the school.

Note again, that complete sentences are not used. Think outline, not paragraph. Remember that 30 seconds is all you have to make your point.
