Bio


Jen Gittings-Dalton, or simply Jen Dalton, has worked in both higher education and in the Berks County secondary schools for over fourteen years. She has served as a counselor with the ACT 101 program at a community college, as an International Student Advisor, as Career Link Specialist, and as Talent Search Counselor in the Reading School District. She also enjoys teaching psychology as an adjunct in the Social Science departments of area colleges.

Jen’s great interest is in the arts and the cultures of the world, especially in how we can experience each other’s lives through writing, music, art, and all forms of creative expression. She has traveled and lived in Pakistan, India, Japan, and Indonesia as well as having lived for 17 years in Berks County, and has two grown children and a husband who are all travelers, too. She writes poetry and is active in local arts organizations.
