Graduating Class Gift
Each year, the graduating class leaves a legacy gift to the University. Since 2013, in order to align with the University motto of “To Learn, To Love, To Serve,” their gifts have been made to the Campus Community Scholarship Fund.
Money from the Campus Community Scholarship Fund is awarded to two students who will be seniors in the fall, perform community service beyond the requirements for graduation, but may not be able to complete their education due to financial issues. Since its inception, four students have received $1,500 scholarship awards and all four students have completed their degrees on time.
As a thank you, all graduating students who make a gift in honor of their class year or more (e.g. $20.15 for the Class of 2015) receive an exclusive gold tassel to wear at commencement. In addition, they also receive special recognition from the Alumni Council President during the commencement ceremony.
All classes since 2013 have set school records for donors and dollars, showing their commitment to helping their classmates complete their education.
Will your graduating class set the new record?
