The Alvernia University admissions staff and campus community realize the importance of the overnight visit as a part of the college selection process. Plan an overnight visit to the Alvernia campus and find out what it’s like to be a “real” college student. During your overnight stay, you’ll have the opportunity to attend classes, check out student activities in the student center, meet and make friends with current students, eat in the dining hall and spend the night in a residence hall with your host student. Who knows, you might even meet your future roommate! This experience will allow you to view campus life at Alvernia firsthand and enable you to uncover all that Alvernia University has to offer.
Alvernia's overnight visits are available Sunday through Thursday nights for students and are intended for students that have completed an application for admission.
Follow these simple steps to schedule your personalized overnight visit to Alvernia University...
Contact the Office of Admissions at 1-610-796-8269 (or 1-888-ALVERNIA) or email your request to email@example.com at least two weeks prior to your anticipated visit so we can arrange for a host and talk to professors about potential classes. We will contact you to discuss possible dates as well as the specifics of your visit, such as which classes you might want to attend or any special meetings you would like on campus (financial aid, a professor, a coach, etc.).
You will receive a confirmation packet which includes a map of campus, directions to the university, and what you will need to bring with you for your visit. We will also send along a copy of our Medical/Conduct form that must be returned prior to your visit.
Overnight students should report to the Office of Admissions on the second floor of the Student Center between 3:00 and 5:00 PM to meet their host student. (If you need to arrive at a later time, call or email us to make other arrangements.) Also, please call or email the Office of Admissions if you find that you are unable to attend.
