Hi Future Alvernians! My name is Danielle Fitzpatrick and I'm a sophomore at Alvernia University...My home town is Old Bridge, New Jersey (a little town south of Rutgers New Brunswick Campus). Going into the summer of my senior year in high school, Alvernia actually found me and everything just seemed to click. It was the last school I applied to (out of 12), and before the soccer coach found me at a local tournament I had never heard of the school. I came to visit and found out because it is a division three school I was allowed to play soccer AND lacrosse. I also found out they had my major, Occupational Therapy as a five year masters program (which is now necessary to get any entry level OT jobs). Everything just seemed too good to be true, so I had to see the campus. My tour was great and I felt a great sense of community at the school, and that was what was missing at all the other schools I had visited. I'm very happy with my choice in going to Alvernia!
