International Applicant
Our warm Alvernia attitude extends to the ease of applying for admission. Once you have decided to apply to Alvernia University, there are several ways to do so, and our supportive admissions staff will help along the way. All candidates should submit the following:
1. Completed online or paper application accompanied by a non-refundable $25 application fee.
2. Official secondary school transcript or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) indicating successful completion of the program.
3. Official copies of all college transcripts.
4. Official Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score report if English is not your first language.
5. Completed World Education Services, Inc. evaluation of all transcripts.
6. Completed Alvernia University Financial Statement (available for download as PDF)
The College uses the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) to facilitate compliance with regulations set forth by the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS).
Notification of Admission
International applicants are notified of a decision as soon as all credentials have been received and evaluated. By May 1, students must submit a non-refundable confirmation deposit of $300 to hold a place in the class, and $250 to reserve a room in the residence hall. The I-20 form will not be issued until the confirmation deposit has been received.
