Writing Program

Writing Program

Our University Writing Program supports the academic mission of Alvernia by helping students learn to think analytically, communicate clearly in writing, and work collaboratively with others. To these ends, our writing courses emphasize reading and thinking critically; developing information fluency; developing a sensitivity to genre; and appreciating writing as a process. Students will acquire habits and skills so as to become ethical leaders and flexible thinkers.
