Council on Social Work Education

In 2001 the Social Work Program at Alvernia College received full C.S.W.E. accreditation, placing it among a group comprised of a select few programs across the Pennsylvania and the nation. We are one of the few colleges in the state to offer an accredited generalist approach to Social Work. In addition C.S.W.E. accreditation enables graduates of our program (B.S.W.) to seek advanced placement in virtually an Graduate Program across the nation (M.S.W.) allowing them to expedite the journey to becoming a licensed professional.
