Thinking Beyond the Institution
At Alvernia, the Provost is the second-ranking university officer underneath the President and is chiefly responsible for all educational affairs, including oversight of the faculty and the academic curriculum.
The Provost employs a big-picture view of the University, looking and thinking beyond the institution toward its accountability to students, to parents, and to all the accreditation agencies to ensure the highest quality academics.
Because of Alvernia’s full complement of professional programs and undergraduate, graduate, and continuing studies programs, the curriculum must be relevant to the world of work.
At Alvernia, the Provost makes it a priority to ensure the academic curriculum positions students for future success.
