Overview
The Alvernia Nursing Programs (BSN and RN-BSN Completion) offer students the opportunity to learn in an academic environment, which promotes development of knowledge, professionalism, collaboration and moral integrity. Since its inception in 1977, the nursing program has set a standard of excellence, reflected in each of its graduates.
Graduates are prepared to deliver health care to persons of all ages, families and community groups with sensitivity to cultural and environmental factors.
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program (BSN) is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and has full approval by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing. Successful graduates are eligible to apply for RN Licensure by taking the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN).
