Michele Peterson has joined Alvernia as the full-time Academic Fieldwork Coordinator in September 2014. In practice, Michele works with Step By Step, Inc., an early intervention (ages 0-3) based company in Berks county and as a per-diem occupational therapist at Good Shepherd In-Patient pediatric Rehabilitation Center. Michele has worked in school districts and early intervention programs for 14 years. She has a certification in the SOS Approach to feeding and opened her own practice in 2010; Pediatric Therapy and Feeding Services. Michele has presented to various groups about her experiences and the SOS feeding technique. Currently, her time is spent as the Academic Fieldwork Coordinator and as the co-director of Berks Reach for the Stars, a group in Berks County for individuals with Down Syndrome and their families.
Linda Marburger has been employed with Alvernia University, full time, for 9 years. Linda started with Alvernia in August of 2007 within the Financial Aid Department and in August of 2011 moved into the Occupational Therapy Program as the Department Secretary. Linda works closely with the Fieldwork Coordinator, assisting students and tracks all clearance documentation. Linda is also an Alumni of Alvernia University graduating in December 2012 with a Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Health with a concentration in Addictive Studies.
Christine Perilli has joined Alvernia as part-time Academic Fieldwork Coordinator in July 2016. Christine works with Step By Step Pediatric Therapy, Inc. providing early intervention therapy to children and their families in Berks County. Christine has more than 25 years of work experience primarily in pediatrics, with an emphasis in early intervention and school based settings.
