Christa L. Eck joined Alvernia in January 2013 as the Academic Fieldwork Coordinator. She worked in acute rehabilitation and school based therapy as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant before returning to College Misericordia in 1998 to pursue her Master’s degree as an Occupational Therapist. Christa has worked in a variety of settings including Early Intervention, home school/homebound, outpatient pediatrics, inpatient adult, and a residential home for children. Christa specializes in pediatric splinting and adaptive equipment manufacturing.
Christa received her National Brain Injury Certification in June 2012. She has been an active member of PA Brain Steps since 2007 supporting school districts, families, and students through their transition from the medical world into the educational community. She has spoken as a Brain Step team member at a variety of trainings for physicians, specialists, educators, therapists, administrations, parents, and students about the effects of Brain Injury on children. Christa is a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association and is certified as a Fieldwork Educator through AOTA.
Linda Marburger has been employed with Alvernia University for 6 years. Linda started with Alvernia in August of 2007 within the Financial Aid Department and in August of 2011 moved into the Occupational Therapy Program as the Department Secretary. Linda works closely with the Fieldwork Coordinator, assists students and tracks all clearance documentation.
Linda is also an Alumni of Alvernia University graduating in December 2012 with a Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Health with a concentration in Addictive Studies.
