Students are admitted into the 5 year BSHS & MSOT track as freshman or as transfer students at the sophomore or junior level. The 5 year combined BSHS & MSOT occupational therapy program makes use of a two plus three year format. In this format, most of the general education curriculum and occupational therapy pre-requisities are completed in the first two years of study and occupational therapy content is completed as upper level undergraduate and graduate studies. Most of the attrition from the 5 year combined BSHS & MSOT track occurs during the freshmen and sophomore years as students discover that occupational therapy is not a career they wish to pursue or that completing the program is more challenging than they anticipated. Students are able to switch to other majors offered at Alvernia University to complete their degrees.

Entry-level MSOT Track

The entry-level MSOT track began admitting students in January of 2014.  The first class to graduate from this track will be in May 2017.
