The Master of Education with Secondary Certification program is dedicated to providing instruction in educational theory balanced with current classroom practices. The program focuses on a value-centered approach toward the preparation of caring, uniquely-qualified candidates to address the needs of diverse populations in today's schools.

This program allows students to pursue their Master of Education while getting their Secondary Certification at the same time. The curriculum prepares students to teach grades seventh through tweltfth. Secondary Education students select a concentration for certification from the following disciplines: Biology, Business, Computer and Information Technology, Chemistry, English, Mathematics, and Social Studies. Also, Secondary certification candidates have the option to pursue Special Education Certification and increase their professional marketability.
