The Master of Education with Secondary (Grades 7-12) Teaching Certification program is dedicated to
providing instruction in educational theory balanced with current
classroom practices. The program focuses on a value-centered approach
toward the preparation of caring, uniquely-qualified candidates to
address the needs of diverse populations in today's schools.
This program allows students to pursue their Master of Education while getting their Secondary (Grades 7-12) Teaching Certification at the same time. The curriculum prepares students to teach grades seventh through twelfth. Secondary (Grades 7-12) Teaching Certification students select a concentration for certification from the following disciplines: Biology, Business, Computer and Information Technology, Chemistry, English, Mathematics, and Social Studies.
