core curriculum. You will benefit from the foundational courses

Behavioral Health Studies - Overview

Behavioral health issues affect a vast number of individuals in today’s
society regardless of their age, socioeconomic status, or geographic
location.
By enrolling in Alvernia’s Behavioral Health Studies
program, you will gain both theoretical and practical training for
professional roles in prevention and treatment settings. You can choose
to concentrate in one of three areas: chemical dependency, mental
health, or child welfare.
You’ll find our faculty is dedicated to helping you succeed both in the
classroom and in the field. Students participate in two field
placements, which provide valuable exposure to work environments prior
to graduation. Our graduates typically enter counseling, casework, and
administrative positions in their chosen area of concentration.
