Dr. Adam Heinze
Assistant Professor of Biology
Adam went to high school in rural Illinois, Graduated with a degree and Biology and Chemistry from Olivet Nazarene University, and moved to Philadelphia to come to graduate school. He graduated from Temple University with a Ph D in Biology that focused on how minor temperature changes change the way life in freshwater systems interact. Adam is currently an Assistant Professor of Biology at the Alvernia University. Dr. Heinze has a passion for environmental education and sits on the board of an environmentally focused charter school, Wissahickon Charter School, that serves over 400 elementary and middle school students in Philadelphia. Dr. Heinze has also developed curriculum for a variety of constituents to help encourage science literacy to a wide variety of people from school age children, to senior citizens.
