
The Alvernia College Arts and Language Department offers many courses, all of which satisfy the Fine Arts or Humanities core requirements for graduation. These courses encourage the creative and analytical skills and ideas necessary for developing individuality and integrating contributions in a complex world. Some courses address specific majors or special majors or special interest areas, while many are general. Most courses have no prerequisites.
Facilities
Art courses meet in Francis Hall 101, Bernardine Hall 212, and the Art Studio Building. Music classes meet in Francis Hall 104, 105, and Auditorium. Facilities include painting studio pottery wheel, silk screens, easels, pianos (electric and acoustic), organs, other instruments, and DVD/VCR's and other audio equipment.
