Coming Events


Be sure to mark your calendar for a number of outstanding events coming to campus later this fall.

Congressman Charlie Dent will discuss the importance of public service, the role of compromise in the current political climate and the need for civil discourse for the 2016 O’Pake Lecture, Oct. 31, 1 p.m., in Francis Hall Theater.

Multiple activities are scheduled for November’s Veterans Month, including a commemorative ceremony on the Quad Nov. 11, and lecture by Col. Cole C. Kingseed, author of Beyond Band of Brothers and Conversations with Major Dick Winters, Nov. 15, 6 p.m., Francis Hall Theater.

Fall arts events include A Far Cry, Nov. 17, 7:30 p.m., featuring an 18-piece ensemble group with world-famous clarinet soloist David Krakauer. On Dec. 1, 7:30 p.m., Jason Vieaux, classical guitar soloist, will visit Francis Hall Theater, performing a mix of multi-cultural music and American classics. Events slated for spring include celebrated opera singer, Sherry Boone, (Feb. 9) and a return performance by Vince Giordano and the Nighthawks 11 (March 15) kicking off the annual Boscov’s Berks Jazz Fest.
