Coming Events

With a broad range of lectures, exhibits and performances on tap, this is a great time of year to experience arts and culture at Alvernia. Visit Arts & Culture online to learn about upcoming events. Dr. Catherine Clifford will bring a Vatican II series lecture on ecumenical engagement to campus on October 29, while trustee and jazz vocalist, Deanna Reuben ’79, performs a special holiday concert on November 24

Alvernia Theater began its 10th anniversary season with a captivating (and timely) scene from Brecht’s “The Jewish Wife” on Homecoming Weekend. Coming soon are the fall play in November, the end-of-the-semester choral and band concerts and the student art show. Fall sports teams are now jockeying for playoff bids, our basketball teams are officially back at practice and ice hockey is also ready for action. The Albright doubleheader is Dec. 7.

Hard to believe but Thanksgiving break is coming soon: Nov. 28-29. So be sure to mark your calendar for Alvernia’s annual holiday party this year, scheduled for Friday, Dec. 13, 6-9 p.m., in the Student Center.
