Strategic Partners
Collaborating with other organizations is an important part of the work of the O’Pake Institute. These collaborations can take many forms: partnering on a specific program; supporting strategic planning and program development; sharing information on areas of common interest. Within the Alvernia community there are several programs with which the institute enjoys a close, collaborative relationship. These include:
- Leadership Berks
A leadership development program that trains young professionals to assume leadership positions in non-profit organizations. - The Holleran Center for Community Engagement
Another center at Alvernia that supports service programming and service learning. - The Leadership PhD program
A doctoral degree program in leadership offered by Alvernia.
The institute also has developed or is developing relationships with several organizations outside of the university. In some instances these partnerships focus on a specific program or initiative; in other cases they are involve collaborating or coordinating efforts. The external strategic partners of the institute include:
- The Berks County Community Foundation
- The Center for Excellence on Local Government at Albright College
- The Wyomissing Foundation
- The Netter Center at the University of Pennsylvania
- The National Institute for Civil Discourse at the University of Arizona
- The Franklin and Marshall Center for Opinion Research
